I got X3 and I need to know how exactly do I install UnleashX? and Can you have more than one dashboard on your xbox as applications?
I misread his previous post - of course, FTPing via X3CL is definitely easier (if you know what you're doing!). There are plenty of tutorials on all of this. Check the link(s) in my sig. A lot of people just don't seem to want to read them....swgstaeven said:If he is FTP'ing in then he just needs to make sure he has his HDD setup with the X3(Format and setup each partion) then ftp the dashboard to F: and set the X3 to look there for the dashboard.
No need to make a disc to do it all and the X3 will use DHCP as well as Static for the IP info (if you have a router just use DHCP).
Much easier imo than burning a disc to do effectively the same thing the X3CL will allow you to do.
Has anyone done a Tut on this yet? If not I might put one together.

Should'nt I be able to use DVD-RW as well? For whatever reason I can't seem to do it but I will try using a DVD-R next.Martin C said:If you haven't already got another dashboard, you'll need a boot disk.
I have an UnleashX boot CD here:

unrar and burn the ISO as an image to a DVD-R.
You should be able to boot from it. Just use the File Explorer to copy the files from the disc to the HDD. Rename the default.xbe to unleashx.xbe.

What exactly do you mean? (Sorry, I'm a noob, too). If one of your tutorials explains it, just let me know which one and I'll go straight there.Martin C said:Edit X3CL to coincide with the xbe file
I tried renaming it after succesfully burning the boot link. Thing is when you go in to file explorer which side is considered the HDD, the left pane or the right pane? I'v been trying the right but I guess I'll try the left if it matters at all.Martin C said:If you haven't already got another dashboard, you'll need a boot disk.
