So my cord that is plugged into the unlocked switch got pulled out and it broke and is impossible to put back in. Is there a different way to unlock the drive because the switch is completly dislocated. Sorry if you dont know what im saying but i cant really explain it

NO theres only one connected to a cord witch is now broke on the old ones there is one on the pcb. Its the externel unlock switch that broke. There is a spot where the switch on the pcb can go but its not there because the new ones don't have them. I really need a fix to this I just bought it and I dont think mod chip centrals will return it

So if it easily could be fixed, why did you ask for support? And still you broke it, i dont see why your reseller should take it back.

Because I cant fix it my self but could easily be fixed by someone else it has a spot on the pcb where the old pcbs had the unlocked switch and I was wondering if I could buy the switch and install it on to my pcb. I basically need a nother way to enable and disable the write protection since I have no switch to flip

I couldn't tell you where to get a switch, but this is what it looks like:

Yea thats what I was talking about I wish I knew where to get it because it seems like the only way to fix it. Modchipcentral said they would replace it if I showed them a picture first but I tried to fix it with some glue and stuff so I thought think that will now but I wouldn't blame them. Sorry that the pics are blurry I took them with my phone. The first one shows that the pcb is has a broken wire that can be solderd back but the white wire is barley hanging in with some glue. The second pic shows that there is a spot for a unlocked switch.

you can wire in any switch, just wire to the pads.

small SPDT switches are easily found in MAPLIN etc, and wire to the pads using kynar wire.

but the fact you tried to glue a wire instead of soldering makes me think you lack the basic skills to fix this issue.

send it to a pro to fix or replace the PCB before you wreck it.

You dont even need a switch, you could just bridge the connection with a piece of wire, one way to unlok and flash it and the other way to keep it locked after flash (i dont think there will be any more FWs for D4S anyway so dont worry about the switch). And dont try to scam modchipcentral, if you broke the PCB then its your fault and should not be fixed on their cost!

I can solder fine the clue wasn't doing anything but to hold the white wire to in place I didnt put glue on the pcb im not that dumb. I wouldn't even know where to send it.

For some reason I can still unlocked and lock the drive with the switch removed through jungleflasher. Will I still be xbl safe with out the unlocked switch. Im not putting lt3 firmware on it im just putting my original fw on it but I heard it has to be locked by the switch.

If the problem is a wire broke, then all you have to do is reconnect it.if the pad is ruined, you should be able to connect the wire to one of the pads where the old switch used to go. I also do not know if stock firmware works with the LTU boards, and have heard that by writing the stock firmware to one, you will not be able to flash a CFW later. Have not tested this, as all the LTU boards i have installed were for CFW.

Is there is anyone I can send this to to get it fixed I believe all that needs to be done is the I get a new plug in thing and have them solder the wires back to the board. I can solder but not in tight areas.
