LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM Unlocked PCB question

I have the unlocked xecuter PCB and I was wondering instead of taking the drive apart to unlock it, could I just leave it unlocked and and do the SPI lock and unlock or does it have to be hard locked as well?

if ur not going to be playing online u could just leave it unlocked.

I understand that but then how does a product like the Blackjack work if the switch needs to be flipped each time?

I hate having to open the box everytime I theres an update etc. I was hoping the blackjack would fix that but it doesnt if i want to go live. cause i have the 360 on my phat and I love it, it makes life easy

Well thats the difference, the tx pcb is made in mind to be as close to the original as possible
