Where did you get the pcb?

Sorry went to sleep. It was 2:30 am last night when I was working with you guys :-/

I got it from consoles in July 2011. I would switch the wp to 1 when writing any firmware and back to 0 just before outro but after locking spi.

There is a physical lock and unlock switch? Or are you referring to the spi button on JF. If there's a physical lock and unlock switch where is it?

Yeah I've always pressed the spi lock and unlock at the specified times according to ubergeeks guide
