Hi everybody,

I have Liteon DG-16D4S 0225 (0225 marked as 9504) so I used unocked replacement PCB for firmware. It works fine for 3 moths (with LT+2.0) or so but then it just stopped working: it doesn't read anything and then when I press an eject button it doesn't stop the disc at all.

I tried to clean and flash a firmware one more time with the same results. I read on forums that it could be a hardware issue so I bought another Liteon DG-16D4S and put my replacement PCB to it. I've got the same results. So it's not connected somehow with laser or mechanics. Issue located at replacement PCB. I've soldered original PCB to my original drive and it works fine now.

But maybe you could help me with this issue? Maybe it's somehow firmware connected or maybe you'll have any ideas how to diagnose this issue.

Thank you

It's TX replacement PCB, but I think there is no warranty anymore, because I bought it 1.5 years ago (and it was broken 1 year ago or so, but I had no chance to take a look at this issue.

Maybe you have an idea what could be wrong with PCB in my case?

Thank you for your help

Thank you for your proposal. I'll try and let you know about results. As you know TX PCB comes without firmware so I flashed it with LT2 and then erased and flashed with LT2 (it was an year ago). I'll try LT3 and stock firmware as well. At least it will give me more info about the origin of this problem.

Thanks!

p.s. but most likely it's PCB hardware issue because TX Replacement PCB was in "locked" state so there was no change to change the firmware somehow during usage. I would be very grateful if you could provide any hardware origins for such problem.
