LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM Unlocked, stock 9504. Flash to 0272(LT3.0)

I have flashed a few 360's and haven't ran into any issues until now. I can't seem to find my answer.

-I have a DG-16D4S with stock 9504 fw.
-old dashboard.
-No silent update, can still get to vendor mode w/ JF.
-Will update to 0272(Locked) if I update.
-Winbond chip.

My question is this:

Can i flash it to 0272, LT3.0+ before I do a dash update?

If I can avoid doing a kamikaze hack that would be ideal.

I tried to search with no real answer, I apologize if I screwed up.

No, you can't. Once u load JF with 9504 it flash with lt. 1.0 i think and it will locked once you update or flash to stock 0272 then it will be locked.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you won't be able to write to stock 0272?

I think this is correct. When you do the dash update, the firmware will be flashed to 0272 and locked. Then you'll be stuck with Kamikaze hack if you want to write LT firmware over the 0272 firmware.

If i tried to flash the LT3.0+ for 0272 FW on my drive that is currently 9504 stock it probably wouldn't load yea? Probably a stupid question, but if the silent update changes the FW from 9504 to 0272 anyway.

Thanks all, i figured as much. I just thought it would be awesome if i could just use JF to write the 0272 LT3.0 and avoid it being locked until after LT is on the drive. Looks like i will be drilling my chip lol.

Rgh it and build a retail 14609 remove rgh and flash your drive to lt3 update all you want then pal
