Unpatchable switch hardware substitution

Is it possible to substitute any part of a patched switch hardware (the fuses) with an unpatched switch (that might be broken or something) part and make it exploitable?

Basically, the part that makes a switch exploitable is it possible to extract and move to another console?

Thanks

I am not entirely sure what Nintendo changed to patch the RCM exploit seeing as they have not changed the processor yet, but I imagine if there was a way it would require an immense amount of soldering skill to accomplish. Possibly some programing as well. Again just guessing.

Not really worth it at that point since you run the risk of breaking the console completely. Better off selling the patched one and buying a hackable one or just getting a second one that is hackable.

Bad idea-- don't do it. The chip that contained the bug that enabled the exploit is the NVIDIA Tegra processor chip, which has 1200 BGA balls. Unless you have a BGA rework station, and/or you're an expert at reworking BGA chips with hot air stations, you're guaranteed to fail. See the photo https://pcper.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/9216-img-0954.jpg

Although the Tegra chip in the newer ipatched switches is the "same chip", it has new and different microcode downloaded to it's firmware, compared to older unpatched switches. So the silicon of the Tegra chip was not exploitable, but the microcode was. Unfortunately you can't reflash the microcode since they do that at the factory and then burn the fuse that allows reflashing, thus sealing the microcode forever. Even Nintendo can't modify the microcode on the Tegra chip (if they could they would have patched out the exploit long ago).

Thats what i was asking. If someone had a patchable tegra chip and could reball it, i'd pay for it. Where i live, no one is going to buy a switch from me, Portuguese people want new consoles not used.

It's just honestly not worth it even if you buy a used patched Switch unless you get it for an insane deal. Better to just buy a used unpatched one.

I was thinking about buying a defective switch, or parts of it, sometimes screens are broken or cables, and the chip still lives on, maybe that would be worth it. I was just worried about the longevity of the switch with a reballed chip.

Yeah you should be worried about reballing a Tegra chip. Like I said it has 1200 balls. Unless you're an expert, you're guaranteed to fail. Even expert reballs on chips like this don't always last. The engineers spend months figuring out exactly what temperature infra-red, what temperature pre-heat on the board, and exactly how to focus the infra-red so the chip is heated evenly, etc., etc. You think you're just gonna wing it and have it come out good? I mean do whatever the hell you want, but when it fails don't be surprised.

I think the price you would pay for reballing the chip of a Unpatched Switch to a Patched one would be higher to just look for an used old model and just buy it...

TX has said many times that IS working for a solution besides no ETA, so for me you have 2 options: Buy an old model or wait for TX :)

Anyone "waiting for TX" to release the Deja-vu hack is dumb. Look, maybe they'll release something someday, but if you're "waiting for that", then you're an idiot.

Not to mention that with each passing day, the versions of OFW that permit the deja-vu hack to work are further and further in the past. OFW 8.0 completely patches it out; OFW 7.0 makes it "very hard" to utilize deja-vu but it's still theoretically possible; the older versions of OFW progressively make it easier to implement deja-vu. The fact that we don't even have deja-vu released for OFW 4.1 says a lot.
