I just figured out how to flash my hitachi 47dh and done it successfully according to the flash program, but none of my backups are working on it! I also have a ms28 flashed and all those same backups work flawlessly.what should i do? should i use restore.bat or not? it boots originals fine, but no luck with my backups! any help is greatly appreciated!

If your originals are working, then it isnt a flash issue and there is no point in restoring.

What media are you using? What burner are you using?
Sounds like a combination of the two to me. What error do you get when you insert a backup?

if it's correctly flashed, then probably it's the combination of dvdmedium and dvdburner... some work and some will not.. i got the pioneer 111d, supposively the best for hitachi drives because it writes something hitachi needs to play the disc, according to what i have read.

edit: your samsung has 5.2 ?? this firmware can read much more then a flashed hitachi.. for example singlelayer xbox1 games without securitysectors and such.. maybe it's the game that's not working..Edited by PrimitiveX5

i say take xbox backup creator, and scan the ISO to see if it's prepatched and all that..

i suggest using imgburn then, to burn the .dvd file.. which as a layerbreak has got 1913760

if then it doesn't work... you have faulty dvd's or whatever or a not so good pc that just doesnt have enough free memory

Hmm, that's weird. My guess would be a laser issue. You can try restoring the drive and reflashing, but I doubt that would help.

so i should just restore, and to do that all i need to do is type restore.bat correct.or do i need to have orig.bin in a certain folder?I never restored any flashed drives b4!

You don't need the original firmware to restore Hitachi drives ( you do with Samsungs )

Just right-click on the X-LG folder, use this command:

restore X

where X is your drive letter.
