HITACHI NON-79 unreadable disc

i have a hatachi 47 in my xbox 360. was a 59 i just put key on 47 i am on dashboard 2.0.14699.0 . i have the drive flash to 2.0. im geting unreadable disc for my back up but not for my original disc. could any one help me with this.

could of been a bad firmware
bad flash
the new way of burn (forget drive name)
or the dash board
or 2.0 for 59 drive

read about adjusting laser but it burns laser out fast?
or a pice of foam on laser arm?
the disc worked befor

From what I can gather, retail game discs are still playing fine?

You could try a pot tweak - XGD3 games tend to put more stress on the laser since there is more of the disc to read.

I actually just searched for "Hitachi Pot Tweak" and found results within seconds .

Make a quality test to your backups as well. It'll tell you whether to discard that option or not.

I had this issue with my friends hitachi it ended up being a bad flash and i had to reflash it.
