Unreadable disc's SSX, Mlb 2k12, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcon 3

SSX, MLB 2k12, Gears of war 3, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcon 3 stopped working (could a game title update cause this?). Ran mlb and marvel vs capcon through abgx to test the disc everything is green and checks out fine. I reburned ssx after running it through abgx and it still is not working(burned with burnermax and verbatim disc). Their is no cover art on dashboard just says play game or unrecognized disc for all four games. I have a liteon dg-16d2s 74850c with lt+ 3.0 with the newest dashboard to date. Also I am curious if I got flagged for these errors coming up. These games work on my other console so it has to be something with my drive. Now I have made it worse somehow and it is not reading any back ups it was before i tried to re flash to stock and update to lt+ 3.0. Please help I don't know whats going on, I am a complete noob.

Maybe it is the laser on its way out, have you checked these backups with kprobe and if so what are the results.

no i have not checked them with k probe only abgx..... I'm pretty sure i did all of this other than the original 4 games not working.

You really need to check your burns with kprobe as dodgy results can give all sorts of problems

it's not the games; it's the drive or fw on the drive....so what do i do? it recognizes that its a game boots up to black screen and then gives me disc is unreadable /unrecognized

If it's working on another console then it's definitely the laser.
Try the pot tweak to repair your laser

ok im going to try to pot tweek it..but here is the problem originally it was just those certain games and other back ups were working but now no back up will work all unreadable/ unrecognized

Did you try to burn new backups. It might be they are scratched too much plus a not very healthy laser = trouble
and Lasers do just die suddenly

If your originals play there is no need for pot tweak. Must be a bad burn as your JF log seems ok. Post your Img burn settings, and results and are you using supported verbatim discs ??

Just a thought. You are using a iHAS drive and not truncating your burns aren't you??!

yes i tried to burn ssx again and it worked on my other console....the problem now is that no back ups are working at all... so the fw is acting up or something is going wrong when it is being read..i dont think its the laser i want to try to rule out hardware

yes i am using verbatim disc's and yes i am using ihas drive

If none of your backups are working, there is a good chance it is your laser. Backups are harder for the laser to read than originals. I have had several customers with the same problem. A new laser fixed them up and backups loaded up right away. I would try the POT tweak. If backups work again after that, buy a new laser as the POT tweak is only meant to be a temporary fix.

i cleaned out my m8's dvd drive that had collected a lot of fluff and dust inside and this sorted out read problems he was having.

it worked randomly on the 2nd try so i swapped the laser out and it works fine now

Wrong !! originals play because there is less stress on the lens ... but backups and especially XGD3 backups put more stress on a lens so if its weak its not happening = the error he is getting

I stand corrected however if a burn is done correctly using advised methods such as correct Drive, correct, firmware, correct media,etc there shouldn't be that much variation. So surely that should still play?

Wrong. Burned media is always harder to read than pressed media.
