HITACHI NON-79 Unrecognized Disc error Hitachi 78

Hey all,

Just brought my ihas drive, 124B. Flashed it with Ixtreme Burner max and all fine, updated the flash on my hitachi 78 to LT2.0, dash is 13604.

Burnt MW3 to Verbatim MKM003, at 4x with OPC on as stated in the tutorial. LB set at calculate optimum, and all the ticks same as the picture in the tutorial in the Burner Max pdf. Everything followed set by step!

Even tried at 2.4x with OPC off for MKM001 but to no avail.

When i insert the disc in the xbox 360 comes up with unrecognized disc.

All originals work fine and non XGD3 titles (Backups) work fine.

Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue sometimes it'll work for a minute then give me the unrecognized disc error

Its very frustrating, tried everything. Must be, well guessing its something i've done.

I dont think XGD3 disks work with ihas and hitachi 78's, or alot of issues

You need to flash it with lt2.0b? I thought 78 and 79s are the same.

Not sure mate i've looked and looked for about 3 days and 25 disks later thought i'd ask

Do you think this will solve the issue? Didnt think it would work as spoofed drives display E66 or something when you try and play XGD3 disk. Like i say the orig works fine, but because i have the limited edition i wanted to keep it safe, not bothered about my GOW3 game :-(

if its been connected to live and the ap25 data has been moved thats why you will be getting unrecognised disk,

its only earlier hitachi fw that does not read ap25 the 78/79 both do, you will need to wait for lt3.0 and supporting programs to be released,

if you have not been connected though im not to sure what would cause it

edit 78 and 79 are not the same lt2.0b was only neededfor the 79 version

no worries m8 i only no cause i done 2 79's the other week then had to redo them because of the needed fix

I have updated it to dash 13604 thats it and was done via usb never connected to xbl

i would imagine the new dash update even from usb would move the ap25 sec data,

i could be wrong so stand corrected if i am,

have you tried running it through xval see if its been flagged for failed ap25 challange

Yeah but its saying its clean :-/ It has me completely stumped, the only thing i can think of is if i flashed it wrong, but cant imagine that as JF reports it being LT2.0 and plays all others fine.

I know i can use the original but now this is a mission lol wont be happy till i've sorted it ;-)

I wonder if i cross flash the 124b drive to 524b then flash burner max if this would help

Hey buddy having the very same problem really wrecking my head now at this stage
I updated my xbox to 2.0.13604.0 flashed my hitachi 78fk drive using the lizard to 2.0lt my problem is that my xbox will only play ap2.5 games and wont play the newer games any help would be great my bro has my mw3 and now i cant play mine

Nah mate im guessing the firmware for hitachi 78 isnt solid as the games play fine on my slim, just wont play on hitachi. The laser is fine, plays all but XGD3 backups. Dont think c4e sees a issue with it as hes working on lt3.0. I am goin to contact scan on monday to send my ihas drive back as i have a RGH slim anyway.
