Unrecognized Disk with TX PCB and LT+ 3.0

Hello,
I have a 9504 which is updated to an 0272. I installed a TX PCB, flashed correctly to LT 3.0 using a VIA SATA and I get 'unrecognized disk' with all games including originals. I've installed a new laser and ribbon cable and still have same problem. I outroed many times and always get verified keys. I'm at my witts end here!

Any suggestions?

you say you installed a new laser, was the laser brand new, and did you remove the antistatic solder ball

Originals don't work either. Nothing.

Yes, I removed the solder ball. (getting strong and bright red laser)

I ordered a Xboxusb360. Going to reflash with that and see what happens.

Just incase anyone has this same problem, I finally solved it.

If you replace your stock PCB with a TX PCB, you have to be careful not to pinch or 'fold' the ribbon cable to the worm gear motor. When I first installed the TX PCB, I handled the worm gear ribbon cable in a way that folded it and thus broke the wires inside. When the laser cannot slide back and forth, bingo, you get 'unrecognized disk.'

Luckily, I had a spare liteon drive laying around and I carefully transfered everything over and now everything works!

I think you can buy the worm gear with the ribbon cable attached (it's soldered). Or, you can buy a whole new drive. The best thing, is to BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE RIBBON CABLES!! :facepalm: :rolleyes2:
