i dont no why the latest dash wont update cos i updated from below the 13146 dash to the latest with no problems

dgenx, have tried 13146 offical update, same as others update fails shortly after being usb inserted

The only thing I can guess is updating from firmware 12625 to 13599 is a cause? Seems like people with 13141 might have issues but can get around it. No OFW's work, no retail games work including Madden 12 retail. Update was started from Madden 12 backup, obviously Madden 12 backup produces the same error as every other method now.

Honestly op it wouldnt have a problem updating from the original because thats what its trying to do update from the game. Try holding the sync button down through the entire boot process to clear the failed update, but you gotta understand its kinda hard to believe you have the original. no offense.
No offense taken, if the original has always taken care of the update and never had an issue like this, I wouldn't believe a guy with 1 post either. I can only say what's the truth (what's the point in lying on a forum for god's sake?).
Tried your idea of the sync button, same old story, thanks for the suggestion though. I'm attempting to flash to 1.91 as was suggested by savage earlier.

Take a photo of the disc with your forum tag on a piece of paper, put all the doubters at ease....stand you in good stead for the next time you post
flashing to 1.91 is another option because what happened in the update process is it flashed you to stock so it stopped reading from the backup. flashing to 1.91 will allow it to finish reading from the backup. Ive had several customers with this problem, thats why I always tell people if your gonna back up your games stay on the latest fw.
Savage, big reps to you, and Mysterion thank you for the information as well. I updated to 1.91 as part of this whole process but ran it from USB which failed, as like every other time. Updated to 1.91 as savage suggested, put in retail Madden, update commences (with hard drive taken off, and put back on). I must have tried 4-5 hours of different OFW's and searching all forums, when 1.91 and NOT using usb was the answer.
