hi all first i like to thank all here in this forum, everything I have read allowed me to mod my xbox with confidence for the first time, I use to have someone else do it but with so many firmware updates i thought id buy your products and do it myself. I found it was very easy and straight forward for my phat liteon. I have a question ive updated to the 1314 dash using my retail gears of war 3 and then flashed my box which is banned by the way lol, I found later that their is a 13599 dash would it be alright to update to this dash or will it try to erase my firmware again.

You SHOULD always revert to stock fw before updating to avoid check and potential flags/bans, but updating from 13146 to 13599 shouldn't reflash your drive (if it is phat as stated). FYI the current dash is 13604 which again shouldn't reflash your drive. I always go to stock regardless of a ban and recommend that you do the same especially considering the recent ban reversals for ap 2.5/6 bans (avoid other reasons for them to justify banning you).
lol 13604 man im so behind, thank you dantun and wyospartan117 since i had to reflash i took the plunge and updated anyway its cool wyospartan i have 3 xboxs 2moded 1 unmoded and 1 of them is banned this one bth i dont care for live gave it up a year ago got tired of name calling by 12yr olds or those who act like it mostly play my orginals on my original and backups on moded. my nephews are why i mod in the first place my games might as well be dirty dinner plates and coasters to them thank god for c4eva and team x. anyway im only interested if these updates that will disable my firmware or games and somehow lock me out of my box again like that spi thing with the slims or whatever or something drastic like that. again thanks for the info of the newest update i will update to that right now without flashing its sitting on a table with no shell lol so i dont mind if i have to flash again if needed. why so many updates just what is in this one btw???
If they could lock phats, they would have done it by now. If an update doesn't flash your drive, your cfw will be fine. The only thing they could do is flag you again if they come out with checks lol. The latest update 13604 has been chalked up to be merely preparation for a later update (I am betting on Nov. 25th) that will integrate kinect features (with voice recognition) with the dashboard which I think is awesome and something they should have done in the past, but I can see navigation being hindered for non kinect users (the majority) which is why I hope they integrate a legacy feature...
