Update HDD using HDDhackr without formatting?

i wanted to update my 500GB WD drive to the newly released 500GB hddss.bin

Now it would be so much easier if i didnt have to transfer all the content first and then back afterwards.

if i just flash the drive with the new hddss.bin will the data on it still be there and usable?

data wont be there as drive gets formatted,copy all content somewhere first then flash it and ftp whatever is needed back to it or transfer depending on what your doing /using

Have you already formatted the drive in an RGH / JTAG Xbox?

Doesn't the hex edit way of injecting the ss.bin not effect the content? Or would you have to reformat it anyway?

If it's a JTAG formatted internal HDD, you *should* be able to just rewrite the HDDSS to make it work on a stock console.
