update sx os not working for me

currently on 2.4.1. checking for the newest beta (lanplay) i always get "network error check internet connection!"
is this a known bug or just something i need to setup?
btw internet connection is working fine if i reboot in original firmware, not willing to disable stealth mode...

When you are booted to CFW and go into the SX menu, hold the home button to bring up the quick menu and see if you are actually connected to you network. You do not need to disable stealth mode to update SX. I actually just did what you are trying to do and it worked fine. It takes a few seconds sometimes to connect once you open the SX menu. Also are you running emunand? If so you need to configure your network while booted to emunand. Those settings don't carry over from the sysnand.

the console is correctly connected to home network, ftp transfer is working in cfw as eshop in ofw, no emunand so settings are unchanged from ofw->cfw, still getting same error when checking in with sx online servers

Hmm, I am not really sure of the issue, but the update feature is working so it is something on your end. I would just go to https://sx.xecuter.com/ and download the update manually. Then once you boot up you can check if the update feature is working. It won't find a new update, but it should at least connect and tell you that.
