I wrote a tutorial on how to update RGH consoles to 14699, so this thread is redundant now and could probably be closed.

Edit: I appears you were successful in your updateSteps are almost perfect, just rename the update file to $$ystemUpdate without the s at the start.
I haven't tried this on a fat, but I imagine dashlaunch will prevent anything nasty happening to your cb, seeing as that's what it usually does.
Pot,Kettle,Black.Your giving out advice like you've done this! then your imagining dashlaunch will protect
I'd wait for someone to reply who has actually done it
Hmm, I didn't do any of the stuff in blackwolf's guide. I think 360 multi-builder 0.5 does all that for you.Pot,Kettle,Black.
Neophyte5001, yes your method is almost perfect. Google for Blackwolfs guide on EMS forums for the extra tweaks for phats and your golden.
Yes Rogero tool includes the latest dashlaunch available at time of release. He does mention installing dashlaunch 2.27 manually after update... is that necessary with an image built with it using 360 multi-builder .05? I didn't have to manually install 2.26 when I originally glitched and built the first image using the same method...
I wrote a TUT just about an hour ago, check it out.im confused im on the previous dash and i have all my nands and cpu key and all that what are the exact method to do this to get to the new dash or is there a link of a tutorial? i just did my stuff up and then i see them released all the new stuff for it like 360 multi builder and dashlaunch im like dam i just did everything lmao.
Im on a phat xbox btw.
$ if dashlaunch ini is not configured to block updatesWeird, cant get my system to update for the avatar
tried
$ystemupdate
$systemupdate
$$systemupdate
$$ytemupdate
What is it supposed to be, cus nothings working?, key formatted to fat 32, and i know it works cus ive used it to update before
You wrote
3) add extra $ to $systemupdate (making it $$ystemUpdate) and put on USB
But adding an extra $ would make it $$systemupdate not $$ystemupdate, you dont mention removing the normal s
???
Either way the xbox just wont find the update when i boot?
EDIT IGNORE
RE-downloaded the system update, must have been corrupt.
Used $systemupdate, and it worked, dont get what all the extra $ is about?
