Hi everyone, i updated my NAND on my Jtag because it had the wrong DVD key. So I decided to flash the Hitachi Drive with LT+ since it could not read any backup discs. I used the 360 Flash tool to edit the nand DVD key and model and replaced it with the info that Jungle Flasher gave me. The original nand had a Phillips drive and a wrong key. After 360 Flash tool I saved the new nand dump and rename it to updflash.bin. Process went smooth and rebooted and now i have a black screen with the xbox displaying 2 red rings and 2 green rings flashing non stop.

Btw, I just got the Jtag. I did not do the wiring. But the Jtag was running fine until I flashed the nand. :(
I have pics of the wiring if needed but i dont think thats the problem

What version Xbox is this? I'm guessing a Falcon or a Jasper?

You can't edit the KV without disabling the hash check.

Choices are to reflash with a version of freeboot with the hash check disabled, or just reflash your drive with the DVD key from the NAND as well as spoofing it to match the OSIG. Once you've done this, run Dashlaunch 2.21 to install it and it'll remove the AP2.5 checks.

So all i need to do is reflash the DVD drive? I guess i will try that. So once i reflash the DVD drive the Jtag wll be able to boot up again?

^ No, you need to flash the NAND again with an image which has the correct KV.

Wait, did you make a backup of the NAND while your Xbox360 was in working condition previously?

Well then, write the backup image back to the NAND. You do have a way of writing back to the NAND, right?

well thats the part thats confusing me. I was given this jtag. I opened the 360 up and found a few wires hooked up to it. i will post pics to see how the wiring looks like. So basically trying to find a tut or way to write back to the nand

Well, this is bad news. Unfortunately, you don't have any way of writing to the NAND now. I suggest you contact the person you got the Jtag from, so that he fix this problem by writing back the image.

^ No Problem.

Just as a heads up, Flash360 doesn't work well in changing or modifying KVs. Instead, XeLLous should be used if an image with changed/modified has to be written to the NAND. Even then you should only do so if you have a backup method to write to the NAND in case anything goes wrong.

What if I get a NAND x to flash the NAND? Do u think it would work ?? I contacted the guy who did the jtag and said he used lpt cable to do it. But I want a USB connection when write/dumping the NAND.

^ Yes, that would absolutely work. I just said that you can't write to the NAND before because you don't have any way of writing to the NAND now. But if you get a NAND-X, you'll have a way of writing to the NAND and you can fix this problem by yourself.

Thanks gonna order right now! So a few pointers if u may, based on the pics I posted on page 1. I would have to desolder the connections and install NAND x? I forgot to mention jtag was on the latest dash, I believe 12625. Would the kernel still have the exploit? Or would I just install NAND x and erase and then write the back up NAND ?

Btw sorry for being such a noob. I'm new to jtag scene. Im just experienced in flashing the DVD itself.

No - leave all current wiring in place. The NAND-x part for reading/writing to the NAND doesn't use these points. Although it comes with QSBs for fitting the JTAG wiring yourself, there is no point in removing work which is working ok.

Why has nobody asked the OP if he can boot into to Xell or Xellous? If he can do that he can reflash the nand via USB, CD or even by running the Debian 5.0 live CD.
