once booted then it's playtime.

my point is that i do charge a premiuim rate $50 per install. my point is that i charge that bc i am good at what i do and i give a perfect console back. its hard for me to do that with slims. im a perfectionist thats why it takes me so long. one bad boot and it pisses me off.

it not 50cm's. my console range from 36.5cm to 48 normally. and it takes me a while to get it to boot right. to find that perfect size. and it still isn't perfect.

something is missing from the install on slims and myself and many others believe its the timing files.
You sir are full of it...

YOU WILL NOT GET PERFECT EVERYTIME... Its a GLITCH... which means reliability goes out the window...

Stop Ya bitching and move on... I dont even know why people want a constant 5 second boot time... Press the power button, then go get a soda or take a piss, or make a sammich, come back and the xbox is all boot and warmed up... For f**ks sake, if you are gonna spend HOURS jamming COD, you can wait 30 seconds for a boot...

Yesterday i had a problem with the NAND-X, it wouldnt read my nand... DID I POST A THREAD?? "OH NOES MA NAND-X A1NT WORKSINGS,,, HEEEEELPPPPSSS, IT5 N0T MA S01D3R!nG!!!!"

No... I started to troubleshoot... First i de-soldered everything... Fluxed wires and re-tinned them, tiding up loose threads. Cleaned the Motherboard of the old flux, re-fluxed, and resoldered... And it worked... Funny that... it wasnt the hardware... Probably just a dry joint... sh*t happens, you need to stop wanting to be spoon feed and actually use your brain

Uber, thanks for backing me up, the CR is BEAST, well designed and built, Are you a EE major?

i assume you mean the soldering part because surely dumping 2 or 3 nands, creating your xell image getting your keys and creating and flashing a fb image would surely take longer than 15 mins not even counting the soldering?
I can do the full soldering and read and writing nand in 17 min. Timed myself. The majority of the time I spend on the hack is trying to crack open the slim case. Always a pain in the ass. :D

biggest time wasters are opening case and waiting for nand to dump and me losing time going off to do other things while nand is reading... lol...

If you had done some research you would know that there are other timing files out that you can try on your coolrunner that other people have compiled and the general consensus is that they are a waste of time.

Your looking for a magic bullet when you have to realise there isn't one every slim is different and it has been said many of times.

From what I have read we are talking about a window of nano secconds to hit the sweet spot thats why it is believed that making the wire longer or shorter helps as you are only adding/removing may 1-2ns on the delay where as altering the timing files I believe adds/removes around 10ns I maybe wrong and someone correct me if I am

Was just looking this up myself just to see if any new timing files even made a difference.

I think Uber had it right when he said it is just a gimmick.

I find the slim case silly easy to open up. 2 minutes with no special tools just a small screwdriver and a torx. Easy as piss when you know how I guess :)

Same here, 94 seconds. A T10 torx, a paper clip and a tiny flat blade screw driver. Simple
