Updated V3 1.6 tutorial?

The tutorial for an X3 installation on the 1.6 xbox was made before the pcb rebuild addon. Is there an updated tutorial using the addon? Or if not, what steps are removed from the original tutorial? (I ask because I haven't purchased my chip yet and want to know what will be expected)

I read the X3 1.6 Rebuild PCB tutorial but it would be nice to see it ALL put together.

hello all i was hoping for some help with a small problem i have.

a couple of mounths ago someone came to me with an xbox that wasnt reading games so i decided the best way was to swap the circuit boards over. ( i have little experience with flashing)

now he has bought it back saying the xbox all of a sudden kept saying to play this game put it in a xbox 360 console, i have just opened it up and the dvd screws were loose, also just put it into jungle flasher and its saying its a hitachi 78 but on the drive it says hitachi 79.

now i cant remember wether i used a 78 board and put it into the 79 drive (would this of worked anyway?)

so im thinking this guy has mabe tried to flash it but failed what is the best way to find out wether he has tried to flash it, i know for a fact the drive wasnt flashed before!!!!

any ideas please, i rekon this guy is trying to pull one over on me.

He maybe trying too pull a fast one was the drive working b4 you gave it back, did you test it?

i have just tried to put a game in and it wont even read it now just says open tray.

how could i check to see if an attempt was made to flash?

i have got it hooked up to jf now, do i have to dump it to read the key and FW on it?

nice to a fellow scouser in here lol.. Anyway without you not having the HIT-original firmware there is no way of knowing for sure. Unless you have aspare drive you can spoof as the hitachi too see if it is the original key, if the spare drive fails too read then the key has been changed

still same just a black screen,, im downloading new java update now

just downloaded the latest java but still not working, i can see all the smilies and stuff but above that its just a white square with an x in the corner, not sure why its not working

ok ive figured out the problem, i running a 64 bit windows vista but for some reason i was using a 32bit windows internet explorer, so i have to have the 64bit and 32bit java installed.

i can now use the irc
