LITEON 93450 Updating Dash and Firmware

My Xbox360 has been modified when I obtained it. I do not have my DVD Key or know which version of firmware is flashed in my drive. I have been lurking in few forums on steps and precautions need to be taken to update safely and play new games.

This is what i know:
XBox: 360 Elite (Phat)
Motherboard: Jasper Kronos 4.5 (No heat sink pipe & metal capacitors)
DVD Drive: Philips-LiteOn 16D2S (FW Ver.:93450C & HW Ver:A0A2) Details at 360Drives here.
Current Dash: 8955

The console has never logged in to XBox Live since I have obtained it. I have checked for Ban Flag using XVal 2.0 and found I am not yet flagged and I wish to remain so. Also, I am not great at soldering on PCBs.

Now, i wish to update to latest dashboard and firmware.
I have decided to buy the X360USB PRO bundle (http://www.modtraders.co.uk/product.php?productid=379&cat=5&page=1).
Is this is sufficient for me to make all necessary mods? (I can get my DVD Key from the flashed firmware even if i don't have the original right?)

So basically:
1. Use the tools as shown in guides in forum to get my DVD key and create dump of current firmware which embed my DVD Key and safely tuck it away.
2. Use Jungleflasher and X360USB to flash original firmware.
3. Download Dash 31599 and flash via USB thumbdrive. At this point, i should not put any backup games into Xbox right?
4. Reflash DVD drive to latest LT+ (Latest firmware should be included in Jungleflasher pack if downloaded from jungleflasher.net right?)
5. Enjoy my modded Xbox?

Please advise if I'm on the right track before I go out and spend my money on these required hardware. Also, if anything else im missing and need to look out for. Please see the attached pictures taken on my Xbox.

You can get the dvd key even if you dont have the OFW dump. You will use the CK Probe 3 in order the read the DVD key because you have a LITEON. The tutorials are right on, and fool proof if you follow them painstakingly. That package is perfect.

Once you purchase and receive your TX gear, post here on this thread and let us know your result and if you require additional help, it will be provided.

You have said that it has been modified. Has it been flashed with CFW? In order to update your dashboard you need to flash the drive back to stock. You need to get the DVD key first before you attempt to upgrade your dash to avoid update error codes. CFW packages exist that have both OFW and CFW for every known 360 drive (except Hitachi 0500). Dont update your dash just yet. Get your gear first, dump the key, spoof the key to the corresponding OFW by using JF, and then update.

The latest dash update flashes your drive and changes the FW to 02510C. All LITEON after the update will have the same firmware. Don't do anything just yet until you buy your gear.

Will place order today or tomorrow. Guess it will take bout 1 week+ for my order to reach all the way here ;)

Will update here once i get my TX gears ;);)

I need help on this subject to.
I downloaded and successfully updated the firmware with LTPlus-934v1.1 but I am not entirely confident with updating the dash from the post 13141, I have 12625. What is the Stock firmware that came with the Latest_iXtreme_and_Stock_Firmware_Pack.rar used for. Do I modify the orig-02510C-1c000.bin that is in the package with the OWF.bin and then use the modified orig-02510C-1c000.bin to write to the LTPlus-934v1.1.bin?

return your drive to stock useing orig-93450C in the liteon pre 13141 folder.then update your dash.then flash your drive with LTPlus-025v1.91.

yes that bundle is just what you want and you are on the right path but to make things simple for yourself download this jungleflasher tutorial

and follow that. its dead simple you just select your drive and answer the questions appropriate to your situation on the flowchart and it will walk you through everything in full detail and with clear pictures.

basically as has been said in this order

1. probe 3 to get drive key and dump a dummy bin and save it as it contains your key and is good to keep safe

2. flash drive back to stock

3. update to 13599 (dont need to use a usb stick you can either connect it to live just for the update or burn it to a cd also)

4. flash your new cfw.

easiest way to do it is to get the latest firmware pack and just put all the firmwares in the firmware folder inside the jungleflasher folder and it will select the correct fw for you.

like i said tho the tutorial will walk you through it

Make sure your drive is STOCK.....then update the dash straight to the latest dash......this will reflash your drive to an 02510C, and there should be no problems...the error u listed was related to a guy updating from a disc, and they had custom firmware on the drive

once complete, just go ahead and flash the latest CFW which is currently 1.91 for your drive

Meaning i should return to stock using Latest_iXtreme_and_Stock_Firmware_Pack.rar\Stock firmware\LiteOn (Phat)\LiteOn_Pre_13141\orig-93450C.bin. Then only update to latest dash.

Thanks again guys! The guides and advices are right on mark! Managed to dump my key, restore stock, update dash and flash LT+1.91 for my drive. My jungle flashed hung during 1st time flash to stock. Managed to reconnect by power-cycling and re-intro the drive like said here many times :)
