updating dashboard with benq spoofed as ms28

i have dashboard version 2.0.9199.0
lt+ 2.0 on a benq being spoofed as a ms28


im attempting to play mw3 but my dashboard is too old, when i play the disk forces me to update and then i get an e66 error.

i surmise this is due to my benq being spoofed as a ms28. the original ms28 has a broken motor (i think, it may be bad flash), and i havent connected it to the interwebs since i switched the drives out.

im still not totally clear on the whole ban process, i.e. what will happen to my system, can i upgrade dashboard after a ban, etc

so i have 3 main questions

has my system been flagged for a ban?

should i avoid connecting to the internet?

how can i update my dashboard to allow me to play mw3 without receiving the ban hammer?

3. yes, update from USB (xbox.com/system-update-usb)

however, you will need to buy a sammy drive, or put your old one in there with stock firmware to update

I have a box that had a sammy spoofed as a liteon that wouldnt let me update. I flashed stock sammy firmware to the drive and it updated fine. I cant say if it will still be live safe but mine is still on live with sammy LT+ on it when it came with a liteon drive. kinda crazy
