updating dashboard

diablo 3 ros comes with the systemupdate folder.

im wondering is it ok to update from that folder? or will i stuff something up?

my xbox
corona v2
dash: 2.0.16537
bk: 2.0.1888.0
running rgh

i only want to update because for some reason sonic all star racing does not load and wants updating.

u need jrunner program and nand r.w sd card tool kit for the nand read and write .

i went to this website:

then followed instructions:

AutoUpdate to dashboard kernel 16747 in 2 minutes

Step 1 Open Dashlaunch 3.12 under configuration set the updserv to Enabled dashlaunch download link http://www.realmodscene.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=967

step 2 Download Autoupdate folder http://www.mediafire.com/download/1pdoycjfld08ezc/Auto+Update+Folder-Dash-16747.rar

step 3 Open your Auto Update Folder
1)Go to Xebuild 1.12
2) in the window hold Shif+Right click Open command window here.

step 4 Type xebuild update -f 16747 press ENTER.

Note: while doing this step stay on dash launch and check under NETWORK on pc u see xbox 360.
step 5 When it is done the console will reboot and you will have the updated kernal. Avatar Update should be done manually


Manual Avatar Update And Kinet Data.

Step 1 Download Dashboard 16747
http://download.digiex.net/Consoles/Xbox360/Dashboards/2.0.16747.0.zip

step 2 Extract files .

Step 3 Rename $systemupdate into $$ystemupdate.
Step 4 Paste this $$ystemupdate into root of usb drive.

Step 5 open xex menu you should be getting message Update Required To proceed security and program.............. click yes and proceed finally xbox will be restarted

had a bit of a screw around with avatar update. make sure that you shortcut load xbox dashboard 1st. then the update menu will popup.

That's the long method. The problem with other sites is they are usually outdated. Glad u got it sorted. Next time try the jrunner updserv method, easy.
