it's super easy to update! and yes you can update via fsd, just put the installer folder on a usb stick and run it using fsd file manager or xexmenu.

edit:
if it works theres no needs are there?
but check the changelogs to see if it adds any new functions of interest!

I don't see any major differences. Unless something isn't working with the current dashlaunch installed, there's no need to update.

As Ubergeek said you should always update to the latest dashlaunch, I've read threads over on FSD forums of users running into trouble through having an outdated version on their system.

Are you blind ?

I already posted that you should ALWAYS have the latest version of dashlaunch

Its not wise to contradict those that know more than you.

thanks all, uber ill take ur word. its setup on an external usb hdd so when its plugged in it autoboots to fsd. i can just swap out the old dashlaunch for the new one then and make sure to keep any settings in that folder the same.

Maybe not in the case of 2.29. After updating 3 of my systems to dashlaunch 2.29 all of my XBLA games now say "Play Trial" when launching them from NXE or from FSD. Seems like there might be a bug somewhere. Went back to 2.28 and all my XBLA games are working fine now. Must be something with contpatch (something minor).

Update:
2.29 works fine if you update your .ini file and contpatch is set to "no" (disabled).
