I tried searching this and came up short. I currently have a XBOX v1.6b and had installed X3CE and tried to flash it with the latest bios and I get a programing failed. The current version of FlashBIOS I have installed is 3.01. I also read that this error can be fixed by upgrading to the latest version of FlashBIOS. I have all the files neccessary but lack the know-how on how to do this.

Can anyone point me to the right location on how to upgrade your FlashBIOS so I can get this chip to work correctly?

My System Specs
Xbox v1.6b
Xecutor 3CE w/Xapt3r16
Backup FlashBIOS v3.01

Things tried
-Flashed bios with X3_3294v16, gets program failed but loads... however X3 Live Config does not show up and holding down white button doesn't do anything.
-Tried to boot to the 3.03 FlashBIOS but it does not exist on the 5678 banks

Now I can install dashboards and stuff fine, but I can not access X3 Live Config to change system settings. This was caused due to the programming failure message at the end of the flash.

Is there anyway to update FlashBIOS or install it to the 5678 backup banks?

That solution does not apply to my situation as I have already tried all that before. I have obtained another X3CE chip with the 3.03 FlashBIOS loaded onto banks 5-8 unlike my previous chip. I was able to flash that chip and upgrade the backup FlashBIOS successfully. I may either hotswap the chip with the old one after I load into FlashBIOS 3.03 or I may just give the old chip to a friend who has a XBOX version lower than 1.6b.

Thanks for all the help.

If you're able to load dashboards, you should be able to FTP to your Xbox.

If you can FTP, you can copy over FlashX3, which is an application (from xbins) which will allow you to reflash the BIOS.

I suggest using it to get FlashBIOS 3.0.3 back to your chip - you can even select which banks you want it flashed to.
