Updating from a very old flash.

Okay, so Ive followed the Tuts before, and they were very helpfully when i originally flashed my LiteOn DG-16D2S.
However, the problem is this:
I flashed my Xbox roughly 2 years ago, before I was deployed. So it has been doing nothing but gathering dust until now that I am back home (yay).

So, from what I have gathered from other posts, is that in order to play recent games such as GTA 5, I need to update my dashboard correct? And to update my Dashboard, I need to revert back to original factory Firmware, which in my case is: 93450C, is this is also correct? because from what I've gathered is if i attempt a live update without reverting, i run an extremely high risk of being banned. I still have all the tools. so i guess the Gist of what i am completely confused about is this:

1. Do i need to update my Dashboard to play current games like GTA 5
2. Do i have to revert my FW back to stock? if so, can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial
3. In either case, can i still use my X360 USB pro, CK3 with probe setup to flash?
4. Does there still exist a flashing tutorial that i used where it 'broke it down barney style' for people like me in terms of where to download the correct files step by step.

Sorry for such a long-winded post, but I've been reading tutorial after tutorial, and i don't know if its lack of sleep, or sheer frustration, but i cant seem to figure any of this out, and would GREATLY appreciate any clarity on the matter.

GTA V will require dash 16202 minimum. The Jungleflasher download includes the tutorial. Yes, flash back to stock first. The latest cfw for all phat Liteon is LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin.

Usually I just get messages from people saying they've upgraded the dashboard and now back-ups don't work. Never had anyone say they've been banned from doing it this way but then again if they are only now having their drives re-flashed then they are obviously not on live anyway, but obviously back to stock first is advised route.

I seem to have run into a bit of a snag, that i honestly dont recall ever hitting the first time.

I have my X360 PRO USB jungle edition hooked properly to the Liteon, and the SK3 w/ probe hooked properly according to the tut, and Its running off my computers molex. (same one i used the first time).

Following down through the computer, I've ran into this: cannot install "portio64.sys driver" which i know the tut says to overlook, since I have a win 7.

However, I hit "ok" I get this message: no I/O ports were found during enumeration!"

Now on I believe p. 273? of the tut it says a bit about driver signatures.
Unless i read it wrong it said to press f8 at boot, and i did..and nothing happens? I also tried booting it all hooked up, still same error.
I can say that I do have the Lib file in the same folder as jungle flasher's .exe, as i read that can fix some problems. Also, here is my pathetically short Jungle flasher log:
