Hi, i'm a noob with all JRunner stuff. I've used to work with an ****** SPI Flasher, and an old pc which i used to program glitcchips. The PC suddenly died.

So i brought a JR Programmer V1, the guy who sold it to me told me that it doesn't came with FW, so i was supposed to flash it. My first problem was the drivers, i used the old good ****** drivers, but they are uncompatible with JR. I deleted them, installed the new firmware and we're ready.

The JR Programmer was factory flashed, so i didn't use the update tool. The thing is, i don't know how to update or flash again the FW. This is what i know:

-Plug JR Programmer, JR Logo shows in JRunner, green light.
-Switch Program close to reset button, still green light.
-Hit reset button, (connect & disconnect sound), red light (bootloader mode)
-Update FW, select PICFLASH_E_1_0_4_ISD_BIT.HEX
-Device Not Found

Return the switch to normal, unplug the usb, wait.... plug again... green light. It doesn't stopped working. But why i cannot update? Do i need install the drivers when the JR Programmer is on Bootloader mode too?

I must be doing something wrong.

And the last, a cuestion... Can i program a x360Ace v3 with this programmer? I tried this

-Connect AceV3, connect JR Programmer to USB
-Select Glitch2m
-Select Program CoolRunner (USB)
-Select RGX Trin_C
-Detects the Xilinx
-Erase
-Error writing... >_<

Any help would be VERY appreciated.

P.S. I've read that if i flash the PICFLASH_E_1_0_4_JRP1_ISD to my JR Programmer, i can program the glitchips but nand reading stop works. Is that true?

The person you bought it from is talking crap.

The JRP comes pre-programmed from the factory and unless he f****d up re-programming the device, it shouldn't need programming.

Did you install the JRP drivers?

Does J-Runner show a black "JR" logo when the device is connected?

flash your JRP with PICFLASH_E_1_0_4_JRP1_ISD to program x360ace.

you will need to modify the jrp a bit for NAND reading, there is a DIY method floating about on the net,or try and get the tx speed upgrade qsb for the jrp

or just flash the PICFLASH_E_1_0_4_ISD_BIT for nand reading when you want to read/write to the nand.

Indeed the one who sold it to me was talking crap. The JRP was ready to go. I have the right drivers and the JR logo appears on JRunner...

I've noticed that when i put the JRP on bootloader mode, windows device manager shows it as: "Input Device Manager" with an exclamation mark!
Is that normal? Because JRunner says:

Device Not Found

Thanks for your answer, i've seen the DIY method and i'm going to do it ;)

But i'm still unable to do the right trick to update JRP fw... maybe my english it's so bad that i cannot understand the instructions or maybe... it's a bad unit? drivers? i think i got the right ones...

Edit: Now it has the 1.1 DIY update. But still can't flash the fw...
