ANSWERED Updating my Jtag D: 2.0.16537 for Kinect

Hi all

I must admit Im not the best, my mate Tagged my 360 years ago and I can put games on a HDD and into 360 fine, however the Mrs wants to play Kinect. I thought all I needed to do was copy the 16537 update into $Sytemupdate folder on route of a memory stick bang in a USB port and turn on. The system will not auto update tho and keeps saying I need to connect to internet to update for my Kinect.

What do I need to do? Ive checked system settings and Im : D:2.0.16537.0 - K:2.0.16537.0 (BK:2.0.1888.0)

grab official dash for whatever dash ur currently on,put on usb,rename it to $$ystemUpdate,back out to reg xbox dash,and insert usb

I thought my dash was 16537 ? Or is that Kernel? How do I find my dash version out?

Cheers. This is what Im trying to do with no sucesss. I downloaded this from here :

Got my 16537 version on root of a USB stick, put in 360 and turn on but it wont auto update. Its like auto update is disabled, can it be?

Did you extracted the update and changed the name of the system update like nofeloniesyet told you? You can also try changing it into $$ystemupdate instead of $$ystemUpdate.

Once you're in you original dashboard, THEN insert the USB stick. It will ask you to update
