Hello. I'm having a bit of a problem when it comes to updating my Jtag. I have a Jasper 256 with Xellous.

The guy that sold it to me will not guide me through the process, but he did tell me that i need to use the smc, whatever that means. On the external drive i got when buying it from him contains "smc.bin""smc_config.bin" files, but i am clueless as to how to use those 2 files with jtag tool. I have pretty much figured everything else out, i think.

Is it best to get a new nand dump from xellous or can i without worry use the nand files i already have?

I do have Xellous on the Jtag and from the mistakes i have done in the past it's very sensitive. If i do anything whatsoever wrong i just get black screen on boot and no xellous. It's as if the nand just gets wiped or whatever if i do anything wrong.

I appreciate any help and i might have left out something, but if there is anything i left out i'll be happy to provide the info.

Two questions, does the console at the moment boot to Freeboot and if yes what does you are currently on?

Thanks.. Just one question though.. Is having the smc.bin and smc_config.bin seen as alternate smc points?

these files contain the configuration for your SMC, didn't he speicify which points exactly the console is using?

Also you didn't answer my two previous questions.

I'm not sure about the second question, but i boot into freebot 12625 now. And no, he didn't say anything. He told me that i would blame him if i did something wrong so by his logic it was best not to say anything.

I and a friend bought one together and we tried flashing his. I did as the guide said, but i got black screen when i booted up. I chose smc original from the dropdown list.

Ok, here's what to do first. Dump your current nand using flash360 tool. Next can you open the console and take some photos of the wiring on the board? And do you have your CPU key?

When building the image in Jtag tool select "Aud_Clamp & DVD_Tray" for the SMC points. Hope it works for ya!

And another quick question. I have the version the nand is updated on the external harddrive, can i use that one and remake it to the newest or do i need to grab it fresh from xellous?
