Updating to 3029 from 1959 - Please Help

I have been running v1959 for 6mos, tried to upgrade to 3029.
All I get is a blank screen no video no sound with a green light.
Reinstall v1959 all is well.

I have tried this several time but no go, HELP PLEASE

Is this new Bios only for the new X3 mod chips or should it work on any?

it is my understanding both 1959 and 3029 are only for the X3 chip what chip do you have?
