Upgrade 2.3 to 2.6, LPC Pin header need to be resoldered?

Hello everyone, I noticed the 2.6 uses almost the whole LPC while my 2.3 only used ~3/4 of it. Can I just plop my new 2.6 on the old pin headers? Or, is it necesary to solder the pin headers that came with the 2.6 chip? Thanks for your help!

The 2.3 and 2.6 use the same pins. The only reason the 2.6 pinheader is bigger is so you can upgrade to the X3 and not have to change anything.

aside from the fancy switch, does the 2.6 really offer much more than the 2.3?
ive always wondered if i should upgrade, as i have a spare 2.6 laying around and a 2.3 in my box.........

There is no advantage to using a 2.6 over a 2.3.
