PROBLEM SOLVED! UPDATE:
Thanks for helping me solve the problem, now I know that:
1. JATG/Glitched console can support both unlimted INTERNAL HDD and EXTERNAL HDD, but for inernal HDD, the size fitting in the HDD CASE is the matter, very few model 750G or 1T HDD can fit into it. you need to check availability before buy.

2. Never update the dash if your console is JTAGed/Glitched, you will kill it.

3. If you losing Avatar (what I called player doll), you need to run official dash that you currently running again to make it up, If you can not update it, then change file name "$SystemUpdate " to "$$ystemUpdate ", it will do.

Hi, there I just chipped my XBOX360 with ordered coolrunner. At beginning, I used 250G for its HDD when updating dash to 13604, Once everything was done, I just realised I might need a bigger HDD. I read and knew that Glitched console could support up to 500G HDD, so I tried and it can be detected by the console, BUT here is the problem:
My player doll became black and white, everytime the kinect can not be boosted and ask for updating dash. I know somehing in the original HDD was took away and caused that problem, so I tried to move everything in original HDD to new 500G HDD using XEXMENU, its not working. I tried to load original 13604 dash to usb stick to do update or what you call "missing file makeup", its not working either, of course not! My dash is already on 13604.
Ive searched online and found its microsofts file protection from the other users. I just wondering is there anyway to solve it? Or I really have to wait for the new hacked dash?

A) A glitched console can use up to a 2 tb hard drive
B) The reason the avatar and stuff isn't working is because it needs updated with the microsoft update. So if you are on freeboot 13604, you need to install 13604 again with the legit version to get avatar back.

If when you try to install 13604 it doesn't actually update, it's because dashlaunch is probably blocking it and you need to rename the $systemupdate folder to $$ystemupdate

hi there thanks for your answering, I know glitched console can support unlimited HDD externally. But does it support over 500G internally either? I ve checked yet.

Besides I havent install freeboot or freestyle dash or dash launch so far, so there should be any block, but I used official 13604 dash to update, Do I have to use hacked one? if so where to download it?

As far as I know the biggest (usable space) internal hdd is 350gb.

internally in a slim hdd caddy. opening the official caddy is tricky so you may need to buy another but there cheap on fleabay.


anything up to 9.5mm thick 2.5' hdd will work for phat or slim on RGH or JTAG.


Samsung are the only ones that 1 terrabyte fit into 9.5mm at the moment.

Not sure what you guys are referring too but I have a 1tb 12.5mm thick harddrive installed in my jasper internally that I hacked using RGH. So, it is possible to to replace your existing 9.5m drive on a phat with a 12.5mm thick harddrive, as well as having it be 1tb. Check this link out. Its what I followed. Its pretty simple tho.

cant do in for slims tho.well not nice and tidy ly in the caddy anyway hence samsung m8 1tb 9mm biggest for slim caddy. as far as iam aware. suppose people could ditch the slim caddy and have 12.5mm inserted and bodged with tape but personally myself i want it neat and tidy like stock hdd but 1tb.

I have read people say it would work this way . I never tried it. Honestly dismissed it as being false.
With that said , I appologise to the op for my incorrect answer.
