Upgrade from my X2.3b lite

I apologize for asking this because I'm sure it's been covered, but I can't find an answer.

I'd like to buy myeslf the X3 (along with the slick switch and LCD) this Christmas, and currently have an X2.3b lite installed with a pinheader.

Would I be able to slide the X3 right onto the pins already soldered, or does the X3 require more pins in the LPC holes that the X2 doesn't already have?

I'm sorry for asking this, because I recall reading about in the past, but I coudlen't find any extensive info on upgrading from X2's. Thanks a lot to anyone who helps.

yes you will need to put a few more pins on the header to use the x3 bios, if you were to buy an x3 and only use x2 bios (pointless) then you wouldn't need the extra pins

when you order your chip just break off ht epins you need and solder them into the lpc, and leave the ones you've already got alone

Hey. I have been outta the country for about six months now.

I have been looking into the new JFlasher Tutorial.

Can you guys help me get updated? Are their any tools that are solderless yet?

To back up my games and play them do i need a new method of burning my originals or something to do to my images.

I've been researching and i have kinda noticed... everyone need either a LT switch or clip or am i wrong?

I usually do the mods for my friends is there a way to reuse the clip in order to mod multiple xboxes or another tool?

you could reuse the clip if you didn't use the adhesive supplied, but you'd have to solder repair the traces after dumping the drive
