upgrade mod chip

hi

i have 1.0 xbox with xecuter 2.3b lite mod chip- my ext switch broke, and i was wondering: can i upgrade my chip? with a 2.6? i have the pin header soldered in, as well as a wire for the D0 - will the 2.6 work with the 2.3 soldering job?

i've already learned that the 2.6 switch will NOT work with the 2.3b lite mod chip;

I think Big_Whoopin found a way to make the 2.6 switch work with the 2.3 but I'm not positive. See the link in my sig for his schematic. An answer to your other question is yes, I am pretty sure the 2.3 and 2.6 chips have the same install. The reason the 2.6 has more pins in it's install is so you can upgrade to the X3 without anything else being done.
