Upgrade Switch Firmware Online with original OS

Im so sorry if this question is stupid or i could find anywhere... I really tried to find...

I got the SX PRO DONGLE and i would like to know if it is safe upgrade the console firmware when we boot into the original OS or i must Upgrade OFFLINE.

Going online after using SXOS could lead to a ban. Offline is the best method to avoid that.
