It won't show anything until you have a working HDD in there, or the BIOS has seen a dashboard/XBE file to run.

Yeah I'd say it's not worth the hassle messing around with that drive anymore, get yourself a nice big drive to store all ya movies/mp3s/backups, etc :D

i already got a computer hooked up to my 60" widescreen which has 80 gigs of space in it..hehe..no need for that..i'm just gonna get an 80 gig wd drive to save the games in my xbox..thanks guys for all your help.

Connect HDD to the internal DVD drive cables

Hi

I was wondering, since I have Jtag on my xbox and I haven't used the dvd-rom since I got it..

Is it possible to just gut the xbox, take the dvd drive out and connect an internal HDD to the now-free cables (power and data)?

I'm really not interested in soldering


If it is possible, what kind of material would I need to buy?
