Upgrading from ixtreme 1.3 to latest FW

Hello guys,

I need help to upgrade my X360 dvd drive with ixtreme1.3 to the latest firmware so I can play Xgd3 games (Forza 4). I upgraded from stock firmware to ixtreme 1.3 a long time ago (3 years to be precise), but apparently it is not able to play the latest games.

All help would be appreciated.

Also, is it possible to load homebrew software on X360 now?

it will tell you how to update your drive to newest firmware

Thanks for the reply. I have had a look at the Jungle Flasher tutorial, and I find it kind of confusing. I wish there was a tutorial for noobs. I have a Hitachi GDR-3120L drive with ixtreme 1.3 firmware.

I've tried to google a bit, but can't really find information on what the latest firmware is, and how to upgrade from ixtreme 1.3 to it. Is LT 2.0 the latest firmware?

There is no 2.0 for hitachi thus you can't play the xgd3 disc with them yet. The only way to play homebrew is to either jtag or reset glitch hack your 360.

Now when the time comes and 2.0 is out for the hitachi you need to use jungleflasher to return the drive to stock firmware, apply the most recent dash update, then flash to 2.0 with jungleflasher.
