upgrading hitachi do i need to do restore.bat

right due to installing windows again i havee lost all my files my 360 is runnning the 2.4 stealth at the minute but i want to upgrade to i xtreme and i was wondering if i do restore.bat and it cant find the 4 number file i saved it will brick so what do i do

Yes. You should always restore a Hitachi to original firmware before upgrading.
