Upgrading Xbox Apps

I hope this does not seem dumb but I install Slayers on my box about 8 mounths ago. I want to upgrade some on the softwre to new versions. Can I just ftp like XBMC over to the apps folder and delete the old on or can I install the new Slayers disk over what I have without losing games? Thanks guys!

yea, you can FTP into your xbox, delete the old files and move the new ones over!

just ftp over what you want, deleting the old one first. remember you will need to reconfigure them, eg xbmc need to edit the xboxmediacenter.xml file.

Also keep in mind you will need to use an ftp server other than XBMC, like evox or X3CL if you have an x3, because you will run into issues overwriting or deleting files that are in use.

Ok that one lost me, I have XBMC on my PC that I got from well you know, I was just going to FTP them over with FLash.

yeah, but whats he syaing is that you would be able to be in xbmc while your ftping and deleting.

do it from config live if you have a x3 or make a evox boot disk if you have a 2.x.
