hi guys turned on my xbox slim yesterday the middle of the on/off pad turned red i have not got an hard drive all my saves are in the memory , i have read on you tube that it is the hard drive that in not in correctly but i dont have an hard drive

Have u tried the basic MS trouble shooting guide eg remove all cables and re attach them, it worked for be I know it sounds stupid but sometimes its the basicsthat give u the best results, also try the memory unit/ USB stick. Try it without them

i dont have anything on the screen at the moment its just black yes i have tried taking all leads out and back in but still the same
if the warranty sticker is intact i would take it back to the place you bought it from or send it back to m$ for replacement.
If you have opened it try martin c or flashing 360 on here as they both do reflows/reballs

i have tried reflowing it but no luck is there anyone in the uk near me that does reballing that you know of i am in the west midlands

do this all day long mainly laptops but i prefer xbox 360 as good success rate if the chip as failed will replace no extra cost as i have loads chips preballed....

What equipment did you use to 'Re-flow'?

i dont think it needs reballing not so soon i think something as blown on the board
