URGENT ..... XBOX 1.6B. I have 3.0.3 on banks 5,6,7,8. Flashed X3 on 1,2,3,4 and everything was working just fine. Enabled the X3 Config Live password and now I'm sitting at the Xecutor Rox my Box screen. I boot from banks 5,6,7,8 (3.0.3) and reflash 1,2,3,4 with X3 - same result. Let me know if I'm screwed or what I can do to fix the problem. I thought about flashing a different BIOS version to 1,2,3,4 to overwrite the current (bad one). Then flash again with the new one. Does anyone know a way to resolve this?

this password problem is a known bug with 3294. you were probably almost there by the sound of it. Like you did before boot to flashbios 3.0.3 and reflash the x3 bios on 1,2,3,4. I am guessing when you reflashed you flashed 3294 again? Don't reflash with an older X3 bios - 1959 works well for this - boot - remove password - reflash 3294 - don't use password.

reset password

Loading the old BIOS gets me to the enter password screen - the new BIOS is not accepting the password I set. I see there may be a utility to reset the password (default.xbe / X3_erase) but I don't know how to use the file. I appreciate the help. Let me know if you can point me to instructions on how to use the reset utility.
Thx

or any tips on the password - ie length

For some reason my password is not working - is there a default password or a lenght restriction. The password I set was eight characters long. Again - the help is appreciated.

now you can get to the password entry that's a good sign. Before you turn on the xbox hold down a+b+x+y then continue to hold them and power on. This should reset your X3 to defaults and remove the password for you.

Password panel still coming up...

I tried the a+b+x+y buttons but it doesn't seem like the CHIP/password has been reset. If it has - is there a default password? The password screen keeps coming up. Thx

You erase the eeprom with the x3erase.xbe like you were told. Put it on a disc like you would any bios and boot it up.

If you search this has been dealt with several times...
Make sure you can boot to your backup bios before trying other methods... especially if you try flashing with other bioses and create a backup disc to boot up to.
Boot up disc can just be created by burning files on an xiso. The disc will boot to an executable that is named default.xbe

I can't boot the backup because I can't access X3 config live

Can you send me to a link to the post which describes making the BOOT disk as I can't find it - and believe me I've looked extensively. I can find many posts which refer to doing it but nothing specifically defining how to do it.

Thx

I'm just about to throw the X3 out the door - can someone give me some good info?

I've just about had it with the X3 and its PASSWORD bug. I've tried everything I've been told and I'm still sitting at the ENTER YOUR PASSWORD screen. Created a BOOT disk (following instruction) with the default.XBE (X3_Erase) but that didn't work worth squat.

Hey - I have an idea - why don't you send me another X3 chip and I'll give you back the one I have!!!!! Come on now TEAMXECUTER give me some real help - this has gone on long enough!
