USB Accesories break down the xbox 360!!

Is it true that USB accesories like FANS can break down the xbox in 2 or 3 months. I've heard that this accesories take electricity that's supposed to go to the xbox, so soon or later the break down....I don't know if it's true but i've heard it all around, you help would be nice! thank you!!

the USB one are ok. But the nyko intercooer which suck power directly from the source will ruin rhe 360 over time.

Are you sure about that ? Why would they release something like that if all it does is break it down little by little!!! Does not make any sence!
