Thanks for taking a look at this, I'm really stuck!
So I had a lite on flashed to LT 1.1. Did this a year ago with Window XP 32bit. Original extract was with Dosflash, I still have all the files.
I wanted to update to 2.0. So I checked everything was still working. CK3 Blaster, Via Card, drive was detectable in Jungleflasher. So far so good.
Of course I actually forgot to revert back to stock FW. And stuck in a FAT32 usb stick with the latest update in the front right port. Booted xbox, yes to update and it started. I left the room and came back to the long error code. Something odd was going on when I tried to restart. Firstly the power light was flashing rapidly and then would stay on, the progress bar would be at about 20%, never moving, the power light would start flashing again and the final "unable to update" message would appear. All the time the DVD would not eject at all.
So I have had a go and putting this right. I can flash many different types of firmware onto the drive and it starts operating again. Only this time, when I boot up, the power light behaves normally and the dvd drive works but i IMMEDIATELY get the error code (ie rather than a progress bar). To me it seems the xbox is expecting to flash the drive and cant.
Whatever firmware I put in same happens. Whenever I leave the drive in a vendor mode, I can see the flashing power light, the progress bar and then the error message (ie just like it was when originally updating)
Also tried a dvd with update at boot. Very briefly showed a progress (<1 sec) and then error. (this of course is when the drive is operational)
So what have I done?
I hope a combination of things might fix things but I think my situation is a reflection of how uniquely stupid Ive been.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
