Ok I put this here because it would be great to be able to flash the X3 using a usb drive, any way is it possible for Team Xecuter to make a usb drive for the xbox to transfer files and flash the X3 this would be an added bonus feature to Team Xecuter's expansion of the xbox, the possibilities of what you could do with it would be limitless to name a few.

1. Flashing your box or multiple boxes

2. Update new versions of software/files like dvd2xbox or xbmc with out having to hook your xbox up to your PC or burn a new DVD this would come in handy if you maintained more than one xbox.

3. Transfer and trade saved games with your friends.

4. copy files from one xbox to another.

This is just a sample of the things that can be done so why not make a usb drive where we can copy and past any thing that we want this I think would be a definite plus for Team Xecuter to try and implement.

The drive would have to be PC and xbox compatible for transferring files and the cost would be minimal as the drive storage would only need to be about 100mb for future expansion after all its not meant to be a permanent storage device.

Just a thought that I hope you might look into doing.

well, technically you'd only have to write drivers that would recognize a USB drive. The controller ports are just funky looking (and you can get an adapter) USB ports anyway. I guess you could make your BIOS recognize thumbdrives, but ALL OF THEM? eek.

I agree all you would really need is drivers and that's why I would prefer that Team Xecuter create the usb drive this way they would only need to make it compatible with one drive theirs this way the major problems would be solved by it being X3 compatible, think about it, and you could call it the X-drive.

or you could avoid drivers altogether and have a utility in the bios to convert a conventional thumb drive to an xbox memory card so you could just plug it in press go and presto, instant xbox memory card. Would be a sweet utility and I believe the first of it's kind. Then all you would have to do is plug it in and go.

naaa, the xbox dash already does that. Just plug in the drive when you are in MS dash and it will reformat the drive with the xbox file system automatically. It only works with some drives tho, I plugged in my friends drive before I knew it would do that and the screen started flashing and acting all queer. Scared the sh*t out of me cause I thought I killed something.

That's cool! But You would have to figure out how to get the dashboard to actually use it for something other than a memory pack.
