Hi,

i have xbox 360 with toshiba-samsung drive, transcend v30 usb pendrive, asrock 775vm800 motherboard with on board sata ports. i tried flashing my XBOX 360 with the use of the PDF instructions and the VIDEO instructions. well i opened my xbox 360 pretty nicely with no problems but all the problems occured due to the USB drive.

First i download XTREMEFIRMWARE 5.3 and tried loading it into the BOOTMAKER latest version but the BOOTMAKER gave me an error of unable to import, so i downloaded XTREMEFIRMWARE 5.2 which loaded with no problems and BOOTMAKER detected my ID & IO no. and displayed something like VIA SATA RAID controller... i made a bootable USB drive as per the instructions.

I turned on my pc and xbox 360 as and when said in the tutorial connected with a SATA cable. The USB was not booting up as it should. there was no DOS only a black blank screen with the cursor flashing. nothing happened. i disconnected all the cd-dvd roms and hard disks. i slected USB JETFLASH as my boot device priority. so the boot sequence was like:
1) USB JETFLASH
2) FLOPPY DRIVE
thats it no HDD.

But still the USB didnt boot up. i tried making the bootable usb drive again as per the instructions but still it wont bootup. i dunno from whr i got this GREAT idea that i should boot up WINDOWS in safe mode with command prompt. so i loaded windows with command prompt and i changed the drive letter from C:> to L:> which is my pendrive drive letter and then i typed in the command XREAD <serial no.> and as soon as i hit enter there was a strange noise which came from my XBOX 360 ( sound which comes when give a wrong answer in a quiz show )

After that i had enough, i was tired trying n tryin to make that pendrive boot so after that strange noise i decided to pack up my xbox 360 again and leave it un-modded but when i connected it to my TV there was no display. i checked the wires n all that everthing was fine but thr was no sound or display. The xbox 360 didnt even flashed those green rings which it does normally. only thr was light on the power button n nothing else no lights on the surrounding of the power button, no disply, no sound etc...

What went wrong? Why didnt my pendrive boot up? What happened to my XBOX 360 ( well i know its F#@KED ) ? What can be done now?

PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ HELP............

Does your onboard SATA have a VIA Chipset? You have to have a PCI card with the VIA Chipset to flash the Samsungs. If you have a floppy you can try flashing again with that otherwise I don't know what else to do, I'm sure somebody else might. It's odd because all you are supposed to do in the first step is read the firmware so how it got bricked without actually changing the firmware is beyond me. And try being a little more patient I guess, the tutorial doesn't say to boot in Safe mode so there was no logical reason for you to do so.
