Alright, I don't exactly know what makes USB1.0 different from USB2.0 as far as the physical structures of the two go, but I do know the main functional difference is speed. If the physical structures of the two versions of USB are the same, I would like to see USB2.0 support for the Xbox, this would help all those PVR projects that have been popping up over the past year. Their primary solution to get video input to the box is through USB, the problem is that the Xbox only uses USB1.0 and the speed limitations here cripple the hopes of seeing anything worthwhile even if they were to write the drivers for the USB tuner cards. I would love to see the Xbox used as a PVR at some point so I think this is a good idea if it is possible.

The other thoughts I have is to patch the USB drivers of the Xbox to support cascading hubs. My reasoning behind this is that more and more people are using USB keyboards and similar devices, and it only makes sense for these people to install a USB hub. The problem with this is that when you install the hub you have lost usage of the controller part of that port. Now, there are ways to combat this such as installing a relay that will automatically switch when a controller is plugged in, however, there should be a way to make the Xbox support cascading hubs so we can use both devices on the same port. This is because the Xbox controller is a hub, it has two USB memory card slots, and it will work by itself, same goes for a conventional USB hub, but we cannot use the two simultaneously. I don't know about everybody else, but I have been spoiled by many of the features that Team Xecuter has given me and I am too lazy to mess with plugging and unplugging controllers and whatnot to trip a relay, I just want to leave my stuff plugged in and have it work.

USB 2.0 is different in the sense of a completely different controller chip. You'd have to alter the architecture of the current onboard USB controller chip (which would cause more problems than you'd think!).

If it was as easy as changing something externally, we wouldn't be faced with buying USB 2.0 expansion cards for PCs when we already had 1.0 / 1.1 onboard.

J-Tag Question Please Help

Hi guys, i wanted to ask a few questions about j-tag. I have a jasper console whose manufacturing date is 03-03-09, now if i flash the dvd drive with IXtreme LT, will it effect j-tag? I mean will it let me j-tag or not? I know the kernel has to be older and not updated, but my question is will Ixtreme LT flashing stop the J-tag hack to be done?? Thankyou
