well i can necessarily say after jtag. i'm not sur they were working before. but here is what happen. i didn't have a powerbrick for xenon, so i broke out the center piece in the power port and used a falcon powerbrick instead. every thing works except the usb ports. could i have triggered the failsafe for too much voltage which kills power to the usb ports to avoid damaging external components? could the jtag be drawing too much power away from the ports? any ideas?

You could return it to retail and see if they are working. And about the psu, I wouldn't use it like that for too long since you may consume more power than it could deliver.

I think if I strip this wire back, I can just plug my xbox into 240VAC mains power and bypass the power brick...

can someone point me to a good tut on flashing back to retail? i swear i've looked for the last 2 hours and the closest i can find is a tut to flash using a donor nand. or a lot of people asking the person why he would want to flash back to retail.

and when i want to flash it back, since the nand is already flashed can i do the same with the flashed nand? just put it under load source and then write nand? not have to go through xell and all that again?

and im in the process of getting a proper xenon psu lol
