Usb serial flashing question

Hi i flashed an xbox a couple of years ago and have dug my ck3 lite & v3 probe and via card out to flash but new pc doesn't have serial port would serial-usb work with flashing? thanks

RS232/USB is now obsolete on the older CK3 units because DVDKey32 is no longer used to obtain Lite-On drive keys - we use a Probe 3/PMT and PhatKey for this now.

However, the CK3 Lite is perfectly fine to use as a power source for any XBOX 360 DVD ROM .

well, given this is the Team Xecuter forums, we don't really deal in the "cheapest" method so much as the best method. Do you still have your DVD key? Any of the files from the last time? dummy.bin? Lite_OFW.bin? If so, you can just erase it and flash it with new firmware and your key as needed. if not, take a look at the Probe3

so i have all that i need to flash the drive with a v3 probe a via 6421 card & a ck3 lite to power? if so what is the usb conection for on the ck3i? is that just for jungle flasher control of the drive? thanks
