What drive do you have? If you have a samsung, i dont think that will work with MTKflash.

Nope, it is the only software that will flash the drive.

Do you have a laptop or a desktop?

If you have a desktop, just order a pci sata card (ideally a via VT6421A/L chipset. You should be able to find that at newegg as well.
