usb ?

i installed two usb ports in my box by sodering them to controler ports 1 and 2 and i was wondering if there is a way to get my box to see my flash drive if so how do i go about doing this
connecting it to ports 3 and 4 would not boot my bios

Only thing I can tell you to do is get the X3CP! Those USBs are alot better to install, they just piggy back off of the 3&4th Controllers.

The 2.6 BIOS doesn't support flash drives. The X3CP will do NOTHING for you with this chip - you need the X3 for it to be of any use to you at all. If you load a linux based BIOS (cromwell), and then boot into Linux, you will be able to use a flash drive, but thats about it.

Not going to happen - especially with the mod chip you have installed.

Even with the X3 and most recent BIOS, you ony have access to the USB thumbdrive when yo are in the X3CL.

Achilles3 - keyboard/mouse access should be OK in Linux, depending on the distro you are using. Try GentooX.

is there a way i could reflash my flash drive whith the right bios from a regular memory card

if u plug the usb drive in and go to the M$ dash, you can format it to be a memory card

from what i have read this works with almost all USB pen drives and they act from then on as a normal memory card
